Pilates information

Pilates in autumn 2020

BAEC runs mixed ability Pilates courses at the Poverest centre  with our experienced tutor Carole Smith.

Following the Covid-19 emergency,  we have made changes to the way courses are delivered. Our students' wellbeing and safety is our prime concern and we ask that you work with us to ensure social distancing and safe working practices.

In September 2020, we are  reducing the maximum number of learners in each group to 15. We advise you to enrol early to secure your place. You can enrol with confidence, in the knowledge that, should government guidance prevent the course from taking place, you are assured of a full refund.

You will need to provide your own mat and small equipment that you should not share with other students. We will no longer provide shared resources. You should not make any purchase before the start of the course apart from your mat,  further requirements will be discussed at the first session.

There will be sanitising facilities in the classroom and you will be asked to reduce your movements around the room to ensure minimal contact.

We are increasing the frequency of classroom cleaning. To assist us in keeping classrooms clean and clutter-free, please only bring what you need and arrive promptly, but not before the start of your session.

Only bottled water in a sealed container is allowed, please keep it in your bag when not in use.

Reduced group size means that we may run additional courses later in the year. If you are interested in joining a class, but not yet ready to commit, please email enquiries@baec.ac.uk and we will add your name on a waiting list, so we can contact you with further information as soon as possible. Similarly, if you wish to discuss our new procedures in more details, email us and we will forward your enquiry to the curriculum leader.

If you would like to speak to the tutor, let us know and we will arrange for our experienced teacher to contact you.
