Employability and Progression Week
We’re excited to announce a special week of activities here at BAEC, running from 19–23 May, all focused on employability and learner progression. This is a fantastic opportunity for learners to boost their confidence, build practical skills, and explore next steps—whether that’s into work, volunteering, or further learning.
📅 Key Activities This Week
💼 Workshops with Richard Wiseman, Employment Advisor
Richard Wiseman will be running two insightful workshops at the Kentwood Centre, covering essential topics such as interview skills and identifying transferable skills. Learners will also have the chance to ask questions and get tailored advice.
- Wednesday 21 May – 11:00am–12:00pm
- Thursday 22 May – 7:00pm–8:00pm

🌱 SEND Employability Offer – Staff Briefing
Bethan Doran, SEND Employment Project Officer at LBB, will present the current SEND employability offer in Bromley in a remote session for BAEC staff:

🗣️ Functional Skills & Volunteering Talks
Throughout the week, Lou Smith, Paola Moioli, and our team will be visiting classes to speak with learners about Functional Skills and how these qualifications support progression.
We’ll also be promoting our BAEC Volunteering Programme, highlighting how volunteering benefits both learners and the wider college community.

Our Digital Drop-in sessions remain open to all learners. If you need help with:
- Applying for jobs online
- Creating or updating a CV
- Setting up an email account
- Preparing for remote interviews
…come along! These sessions are here to help you take the next step with confidence.
