This course will teach you the practical skills of garment mending and give you the confidence to alter the length of any item and learn a variety of invisible repairs. You will also be introduced to creative visible mending techniques like patchwork and embroidery. Progress to learning to transform and reshape garments using different up-cycling techniques.
Creative Writing – Improving Your Practice
This 12 week Creative Writing course is designed to help writers enhance their skills by exploring key elements of storytelling and narrative development. Starting with an introduction to creative writing and its various genres, the course delves into character development, crafting immersive settings, and structuring compelling plots.
Participants will refine their use of narrative voice, point of view, and dialogue while learning to integrate themes and symbolism for deeper meaning. The program also covers editing techniques, building engaging story arcs, and preparing work for publication.
In the final weeks, learners will start a personal project, culminating in guidance on sharing and publishing their work.
