Lip Reading – Confident Lip Reading

A follow on course designed to further your skills in Lip Reading. This is a fast paced course for confident lipreaders who have sound knowledge of lipreading theory and fluent fingerspelling skills. Learners must have completed at least one year of formal lipreading classes. Improve your ability to lip read so that you can take part in everyday conversations.

Living Well With Hearing Loss

A one day workshop. Hearing loss can make it difficult to take part in conversations. It can make it hard to carry on doing the things you enjoy such as going to the theatre or cinema. It can make carrying out your job much harder. This can in turn lead to feelings of isolation and depression. This course explores the issues that hearing loss can cause and suggests strategies for overcoming them. Please note that this course is delivered in spoken and written English and not BSL.
