Bromley Adult Education – ​Part-time Cleaner 

Salary Grade BR4 £24,425 to £24,608 per annum FTE (£13.02 to £13.11 per hour)

10 hours per week x 52 weeks per year

This post is mainly based at BAEC, Kentwood Centre, Kingsdale Road, Penge SE20 7PR but the successful candidate may also be asked to work occasionally at the Poverest Centre, Poverest Road, Orpington, BR5 2DQ. 

Bromley Adult Education College, the adult education service of the London Borough of Bromley, is currently looking to recruit an experienced cleaner to join our dedicated cleaning team. We are seeking a reliable, organised, and self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards, ensuring the efficient operation and delivery of services on behalf of the London Borough of Bromley. 

The successful candidate will be expected to work 10 hours per week, year-round, with a schedule of 2 hours per day (Monday to Friday) from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Occasional Saturday work may also be required.

Sessional Tutors – various vacancies across different curriculum areas

You can work flexibly and combine teaching at Bromley Adult Education with your own projects/work. Live Vacancies

We currently have the following live vacancies in the following areas and welcome a full application (Links below)

  • British Sign Language – we are looking for experienced staff to deliver a BSL qualification.
  • Employability skills – we are looking for tutors who can support learners into employment, teaching employability skills (CV writing, Job searching, Interview preparations) and also workplace professionalism.
  • English – we require a tutor to join our existing team, delivering Functional Skills courses from Entry 1 to Level 2.
  • Floristry – we are looking for a new tutor in Floristry to deliver short courses at either of our centres.
  • Photography – we are looking for a photography tutor to deliver digital photography.
  • Pilates – we are looking for a pilates tutor to deliver pilates sessions at our Poverest Centre.
  • SEND – we are looking for experienced staff to deliver courses to our SEND learners at the Kentwood Centre.
  • Spanish – we would like to appoint native speakers to add to our existing team. Candidates need to be able to travel within Bromley and teach at both the Kentwood and Poverest centres, as well as being available in the evening. MFL teaching experience required , although not necessarily in ACL settings.

Salary range: £30.26 – £39.65 per hour, depending on qualification and subject/level taught.

Please note – Tutors teaching in community outreach provision must be able to travel between various centres and community venues in the whole of the London Borough of Bromley.
